Michael Hickman
|
Letter of invitation from
Mrs Mary Bannotti to attend a meeting to discuss the abduction of children
to Germany and the boycott of access that mostly follows.
|
|
|
|
|
Michael Hickman was warned that if
he travelled to Brussels he would not be allowed to return to Germany thereafter
by the immigration officer of the City of Wilhelmshaven, Mr. Ralf Janßen.
Application was made to court they also refused permission to return to Germany
if Michael Hickman attended the proposed meeting with Mrs Bannotti and other
members of the European parliament in Brussels.
As Michael Hickman was denied permission to travel to present his case
directly to the European Parliament a letter was written to the German Federal
Ministry of Justice with a copy to the German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder
by Mrs Bannotti on behalf of the President of the European Parliament Mr Pat
Cox. A Letter was also written to the German Member of Parliament Prof. Dr.
Hans-Gert Pöttering.

|
Letter written
to the German Justice ministry by Mrs Mary Banotti MEP,
European Parliament President's mediatiator For Transnationally
Abducted Children requesting assistance to help. She
said that there are still some long-standing, well documented
cases, where foreign parents are not being granted visiting
rights and even where visiting rights are recognized they are unable
to exercise them. This causes considerable distress and frustration,
and forces parents to seek alternative means of redress. It is clear
that there is a complete breakdown of confidence in the Jugendamt
structure and in the family court system in Germany as far as these foreign
parents are concerned.

Letter to Dr. Biester
the Christian Democratic Union member of Parliament for
Wilhelmshaven and the attorney who represents the German
abducting parent. Dr. Biester in his political capacity holds
the position of being a member of the judicial review committee
of the state government. Dr. Biester in his capacity of attorney
has been defending and covering up human rights abuses and the
perversion of the law. This is a clear conflict of interests. This
is a letter written by me to Dr. Biester as my representative to
the state Parliament to help with mediation.

Here is a letter I wrote to
my member of the European parliament Mr. Garrelt Duin,
following our meeting that day in Emden. He is in addition
the chairman of the Social Democrats for the region Weser-Ems.
At the meeting Mr Duin promised to contact the mayor of Wilhelmshaven
Eberhard Menzel to request his help. Three days later Mr. Duin met
with mayor Menzel as was reported with a photograph in the local
newspaper (picture to follow below), the mayor has to date not contacted
me. To date my letter has not been answered although I have sent numerous
reminders, which are to be published below. To date nothing has been
done by him to assist .

Here is a second letter I
wrote to my member of the European Parliament Mr. Garrelt
Duin in regards to our meeting held on the 25.02.04. In
this letter I posed among other things, the following.
Dr. Uwe Biester, member of parliament for
the Christian Democratic Union CDU Wilhelmshaven, should be invited
in his official capacity as a member of the judicial controlling
body (Justizprüfungsamt) of the state government of Lower Saxony,
to observe for himself, to take our questions and to explain to
us exactly what has happen in a case of human rights violations and
the denial of legal remedy in a case that he is directly involved
in, in both his private capacity as an attorney and in his official
capacity as the responsible politician.

|
Letter to Mary
in response Banottio the letter received from received Hartenbach
of the German Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin. The letter
you received shows very clearly that the German authorities
do not ever intending taking the matter seriously or taking
responsibility for their actions or the actions of their citizens.
It shows that they have no intention whatsoever of addressing
the problem in an objective and honest manner to bring about an
end to the suffering of the children and the families involved.
Judge Eberhard Carl very clearly said to me that if I do not stop
fighting for what he called “my legal rights” and stop reporting
what is going on in Germany to the press he would himself personally
see to it that I never again have contact to my children. At the
moment the German authorities appear to be more than willing to use
every dirty method possible to enflame and worsen the situation, to force
the foreign victim parents to make mistakes so that they can then say
look there look what he or she has done, did we not tell you so.
This is good reason why the foreign
parent should never have contact to the children unlawfully taken to
Germany again. This justifies every disgusting criminal act conducted
against the victims by the German authorities.

Letter to
Mary Banotti regarding the CDU member of the European Parliament Prof.
Dr. Hans-Peter Mayer to request assistance
from him for the victim South African children. Prof.
Dr. Hans-Peter Mayer is a professor of law, in addition he
is a member of the local Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and
is well acquainted to two members of the CDU party who have played
and continue to play a crucial role to ensure the boycott of access
to my two children. Mrs B plays a very crucial and active role in the
whole affair. She is a close friend and party colleague of the abducting
grandmother of the children, she has been observed to have taken
a great personal interest in the whole affair, conversations directly
with her have confirmed her bias and total support towards the German
abducting parent and grandparents.

Meeting
with the mayor of Wilhelmshaven Eberhard Menzel. As I mentioned to
him when we met on the 25 February in Emden the child Welfare Department
(Jugendamt) of the City of Wilhelmshaven has from the very first day of the
abduction of my children to Germany played a crucial role together with Dr.
Uwe Biester MdL (CDU) in making it possible for the German abducting parent
to prevent me access to my children.

Re: Second request
To arrange an meeting with the mayor
of Wilhelmshaven Eberhard Menzel
Dear Mr Duin,
As the mayor of Wilhelmshaven Mr. Eberhard
Menzel (a member of the executive committee of the SPD party
for the Weser-Ems region of which you are the chairman) holds
the key to gaining access to my children, I once again approach
you this time to request that you convene an urgent meeting
between us at which Mr Menzel will be present together with the complete
file of the Jugendamt for us to discuss the issue with a view to finding
an immediate solution to my grievances against him and his officials
in particular the head of the Jugendamt Mr Klaus Juerjens, who have
on more that one occasion committed criminal acts and acts of terror
against both me and my children.
